Living an active lifestyle in Toronto can be challenging – a city where you can drive anywhere you need to go. Weather you walk, run or visit the gym – getting outside for some fresh air is a great habit.
Local residents in the Brian Village neighborhood around Old Sheppard Ave, will soon have a new spot fitness spot close to home. A new project called Old Sheppard Park Adult Fitness Equipment Project is underway in Old Sheppard Park.
The equipment will likely include circuits or stages with various pull-up and dip bars as well as blocks for squats and lunges, although no official plan are available. The closest outdoor fitness park is at Bellbury Parkneighborhood.
A temporary fence surrounds the area of the park where the fresh air fitness centre is being installed. A sign on the fence reads:
“Construction is to commence in mid-summer 2018. Completion is anticipated in September 2018 (Weather Permitting)”
For people working in Consumers Road Business Park looking for some fresh air and fresh air exercise can take a walk over and check it out soon.
